RE:   NOTICE OF MEETING FOR INCLUSION OF REAL PROPERTY

Dear Property Owner:

Your property is located within an area that is under consideration for inclusion into the service boundary of the Grand River Mosquito Control District.

In accordance with the provisions of C.R.S. 32-1-401(3), you are hereby notified that a special meeting of the Board of Directors' will be held on September 18th, 2012, beginning at 7:00 pm at the West Middle School Gym, located at 123 W. Orchard Ave., Grand Junction CO. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the merits of the inclusion.  The District exists for the sole purpose of providing mosquito control measures to properties within the District Boundaries.  While mosquito populations cannot be eradicated, they can be suppressed.  The exclusive source of revenue for the District is the assessment of a mill levy and the current levy for all properties within the District is 1.513 mills.

You may file a petition to be excluded from the considered area if it can be demonstrated that exclusion of such property is in the best interests of the District as described in C.R.S. 32-1-203(3.5).  A form for the petition may be found on the District Website (www.grmcd.net) or from the District offices at 650 West Gunnison Ave., Grand Junction, Colorado.

If you have questions or concerns about the inclusion, please plan to attend the September 18th meeting.

Sincerely,
Zane G. McCallister,
General Manager
